Why Buy Local?
Did you know that nearly 80% of the flowers sold in our grocery stores and to our florists are not grown in the United States? Most are grown thousands of miles away in other countries. The demands for perfection in the floral industry forces those growers into heavy pesticide use that are banned in the United States. The flowers are often harvested a week or more before they are packaged and shipped out of water. It is no wonder people are disappointed when they spend money on flowers and they only live a few days.
Our flowers are truly fresh often cut the same day you receive them and rarely leaving water post-harvest. Though our growing techniques require more work at times, we are proud they support the environment that so graciously supports us. It brings us joy to see the honeybees enjoying our hard work as much as we do.
We know flowers are not a necessity in our daily lives but we believe they provide nutrients to the soul. Giving and receiving flowers brings undeniable joy into lives. We are grateful to be a part of the locally grown flower movement in the U.S. We know buying local is a conscious choice and we thank you for your support.
